Art Inspirations

DESCRIPTION
Artists consume art as much or more than they create it. All artists have been influenced and inspired by other artists.

For this exhibition we are seeking works that somehow show those influences visually.
Be it with the technique, perspective, composition, subject matter, medium, or something else. We wish to see paintings that in a sense pay homage to the artists who influenced and came before.
Besides that, we leave it up to your interpretation.

SUBMITTING FOR POSSIBLE INCLUSION – TWO-STEP SELECTION
A single juror will view submitted works and make their choices as to which pieces shall be included in the final selection phase. The first phase is done in the blind juror style. They will view submitted works and read the artist’s statement specific to the work. The juror will not see the names, biography, or exhibition history of the artist. Those works selected for the second round will be viewed by gallery staff as jurors for inclusion. At this phase, the staff does have access to names, biography, and exhibit history if listed.
